DBL, Inc. is the cow-calf operation that was started back in 1990 when Dean and Bonnie Christensen had 100 head of cows that were purchased from area producers. It now has grown to a 850 head cow-calf operation in which 98% are home-bred and raised. Bonnie has kept complete production records on the dams and yearly breeding, calving, and weaning since the beginning.

Only top, proven, registered angus and limousine bulls have been used with breeding bulls purchased from Baldridge Bros., Sonderup Angus, Wagonhammer Ranch, Stevenson, TC Ranch, Benoit Angus, Slagle Angus, and Leonard Wulf and Sons.

Each year approximately 75 spring bulls are hand-picked out of our bull crop of over 300 head. The balance of the bull calves are steered and fed out in the feedlot so we can record feedlot performance, efficiencies, conversions, quality and yield grade, and individual records that can help us in breeding bull selection.
